Thank you so much to all the students who pitched in for the gifts for Henry!  You sure found some great giraffe things!  I hope to bring Henry in some day before I come back at the end of March.  Here are a couple new pictures of him.  I hope you're all doing well and learning lots!

 

  

Mrs. G's Baby

I hope all of you have had a great week!  I hope you're learning lots and enjoying Ms. Orr.  Here are some pictures of my little baby Henry.  He was born on Sunday, January 31 at 9:23 am weighing 6 lbs. 12 oz. and is 20 inches long.

Another snow day?

We had a wonderful math class yesterday celebrating our completion of our fractions unit, playing Jeopardy, and eating some delicious food! 

Can you believe we have another snow day?  Are you getting sick of them yet?  If you're looking for something to do, check out our writing blog.  We have had many additional comments from people outside our school in the past week!

/s/ sound spelling patterns

In Spelling in Mrs. G's class today, we talked about the different spelling patterns for the /s/ sound.  Check out the list the students came up with! 

Recipe Booklet Project

Today in math I introduced a project that we will work in class on over the next week.  Here are the expectations and grading for the project. The students will have Wednesday (after the quiz), Thursday, part of Friday, and all of Monday to work on the project in class.  They also may need to work on it at home.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  The booklet is due on January 19th.  Students may bring one of their recipes prepared that day for 5 extra credit points.

H1N1 Clinic

The H1N1 vaccine will be available at school on Friday.  If you would like your child to recieve it, please return the form that should have gone home with them today.
